Jai Street Presents Returning To Qionglai, A Debut Solo Exhibition By Julien Tell To Celebrate The Berlin Launch Of Issue 02. 

 

Tracing The Lives Of Friends And Relatives Through Photographs Is A Study That Julien Tell (b.1994, Based In Berlin) Fashioned Since Adolescence. Raised By His Japanese Mother In Oakland, California, Surrounded By Second-Generation Immigrant Kids Like Himself, Tell Explores The Photography's Potential To Represent The Connection Held By Migrants Between Their Country Or Residence And Their Homeland. 

 

In His New Series, Returning To Qionglai (2024), Tell Follows Fujiong Gu To Her Hometown For The Chinese New Year Celebrations.
